Pressley Praise For Nouble
Sunday, 14th Sep 2014 15:41

Coventry manager Steven Pressley praised on-loan Town striker Frank Nouble after the Sky Blues’ 2-1 home victory against Yeovil on Saturday.

Nouble, who was making his second appearance for Coventry having scored on his debut, was involved in the winning goal, Glovers keeper Chris Weale saving his shot and sub Simeon Jackson following up to net.

“Today I thought Frank was excellent, he put in a really tough performance, and showed a lot of work ethic,” said Pressley.

Elsewhere, Paul Taylor picked up another assist in injury time, Jordan Bowery heading in his corner as Rotherham claimed a 1-1 at Bournemouth. Fellow loanee Anthony Wordsworth was an unused sub.

Jack Marriott is still looking for his first Carlisle goal having come on as a 75th minute sub as the managerless Cumbrians lost 3-0 at home to Bury in League Two.

Freddie Veseli was an unused sub as Port Vale lost 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra in League One.

Perhaps Micks judgement isn't so bad after all, with Veseli Marriott Woody all on the bench.
Nice to see big Frank being appreciated at Coventry

In many ways this is a critical stage for both Veseli and Marriot, particularly the latter. Both are right at the beginning of their careers. WIth Marriot, this may determine whether he has a future at the club. FOr Veseli, Nouble and Taylor they will need to do something amazing to get back into MM's plans.

Marriott is wasted at Carlisle doing him more harm than good at a struggling cr-p team how can he score with no service whatsoever get him back better playing in under 21 than there.

Totally agree Marcus Evans and MM knows what he is doing. Marriott in my opinion is nowhere near Championship level and looks as though he is struggling at Carlisle. He certainly did not impress for us at Crawley and I have my doubts that he will make it here but obviously hope I'm wring.
