Brighton keeper David Stockdale says he’s looking forward to returning to Portman Road with the Seagulls this evening. The 28-year-old made 18 appearances for the Blues during the first half of the 2011/12 season while on loan from Fulham.

"I really enjoyed my time at Ipswich. The fans, like here, welcomed me in and I actually thrived there for a little bit,” the Yorkshireman told the Brighton Argus.

"I had some good times. It will be nice going back there. I was at the start of a new contract at Fulham, so it was more about getting games.

"I got called back early as well. I was meant to be there for a year, did well and enjoyed it.

"I lived there with my family. It was a nice place to live, so I always keep an eye out on them.”

Stockdale moved to the Amex Stadium from Fulham for an undisclosed fee in the summer and has been a regular in Sami Hyypia's side so far this season.

I'm surprised the experience didn't scar him for life. Probably still got a sore back from picking the ball out of the net seven times at Peterborough.

28 years old, and I think I'm right in saying this is his first season as a number 1 choice at a club.

JimmyJazz - 41 appearances for Darlo in 2007-08. But he's had a lot of loans and not really established himself anywhere since then
