Skuse Training But a Doubt
Monday, 29th Sep 2014 09:52

Midfielder Cole Skuse is training this morning but is a doubt ahead of Tuesday’s game at Sheffield Wednesday with the toe injury which saw him miss Saturday’s 2-0 home victory over Rotherham.

“He’s training today, we’ll see how he is,” manager Mick McCarthy said. “He’s had a problem with his toe.

“I think he’s had to have a look at his footwear, what he’s wearing. He’s out training this morning, hopefully he’s OK.”

Aside from the former Bristol City man, the Town boss has no other injury concerns: “Everybody else is fit, we’re all fine. Hunty and Cameron Stewart are still coming back from their long-term injuries, but both are fit, both will be training.”

Really strong squad now with 20/21 players who could make a good case for being in starting eleven.Imagine team will vary game to game depending on opponents but even picking the 18 will be a difficult job.Exciting times.

feel sorry for anyone who gets left out the 18 especially tommy smith who deserves a start but wont because defense is stronger

I hope he can play. Didn't see the last game since I sit in Swden and am confined to the odd games on tv, but I saw the game against WIgan and there was a big difference in the way we played bfore and after Skuse limping off.

Skies may not be everyone's cup of tea, but every team needs a couple of players like him; experienced, break up the opposition pass to someone and gets things going again.

Played very well against Wigan & allowed Bishop & Hyam to get forward. Let's hope he is fit.
