Bishop and Skuse Return
Tuesday, 30th Sep 2014 18:51

Teddy Bishop and Cole Skuse return in place of Kevin Bru and Paul Anderson in an otherwise unchanged team as the Blues look for their fifth successive win at Sheffield Wednesday. New loan signing Jonny Williams is on the bench.

Skuse missed Saturday's 2-0 victory over Rotherham with a toe injury, while Bishop was rested.

Manager Mick McCarthy looks set to line his side up in the 4-3-3 formation utilised at Wigan last Monday and against the Millers.

Sheffield Wednesday: Westwood, Buxton, Loovens (c), Zayatte, Mattock, Maguire, Semedo, Palmer, Maghoma, Nuhiu, May. Subs: Kirkland, Dielna, Coke, Drenthe, Helan, Hope, Madine.

Town: Gerken, Parr, Mings, Berra, Chambers (c), Skuse, Hyam, Bishop, McGoldrick, Murphy, Sammon. Subs: Bialkowski, Smith, Anderson, Bajner, Bru, Tabb, Williams.

Is Collison still not fit enough to play?

Bishops definitely making a name for himself! So glad to see him progress so much, and looking forward to hopefully seeing Joniesta making his re-debut tonight. Good luck guys!

No surprise to see joniesta on the bench, he did only join the squad yesterday. What's really nice to see this season, is that we are not setting up to match the opposition, we are going to play our game and teams are having to set up to stop us!

When you think Collison,Ambrose,Henshall or Hewitt cant even make the bench shows how strong a squad Mick has now.

Probably have two of those four on the bench ahead of Bajner and Tabb though IMO

That's a big boost for Bishop's confidence, being picked ahead of Williams. Shows just how much he has impressed the Manager, although I suspect Williams will start against Forest. Anyway back to tonight....just the (slim) mathematical chance of going top of the league by 10pm is a buzz....but I'd be very happy with a point up there.

Not sure why Skuse has been recalled, I simply don't like him and Hyam in the same team. However, we have plenty of attacking options and this team worked at Wigan. Hoping we will look to win the game.

How the hell has Skuse gone straight back in to the team beyond belief that one

Glad Skuse is back brings good balance & strength to a 3 man midfield. Bru way too lightweight for that role. Also happy that Williams seems like he'll have to earn his place in the side. COYB
