Stewart Set for U21s Action
Wednesday, 1st Oct 2014 15:15

Town have confirmed that winger Cameron Stewart is set to be involved for the U21s at Crewe this evening with manager Mick McCarthy making the trip to Gresty Road to take a look at some of his fringe players in action.

Stewart is yet to make his Town debut having suffered a broken jaw in the final game of pre-season at Leyton Orient and then a minor knee injury on his return in the U21s.

Striker Balint Bajner, Stephen Hunt, Alex Henshall and Elliott Hewitt are also expected to feature against the Railwaymen.

Mark Kennedy’s side will climb to second in the Professional Development League Two South table if they win.

good luck boys - hoping the likes of Stewart, Henshall, Hewitt and Collison and Ambrose (if involved) impress as they could realistically make our starting 11. And good luck too to the Badger - would love to see him adapt to English football and be a success with us - should Murphy get injured.

We could field a very strong looking second XI these days:

-------------------------------Bartosz Bialkowski
--------Elliott Hewitt, Matt Clarke, Tommy Smith, Stephen Hunt
Darren Ambrose, Kevin Bru, Jack Collison, Jay Tabb, Cameron Stewart
--------------------------------Balint Bajner

Got to fit him in somewhere, I'm leaving out Henshall, have 12 in the first XI and playing 5 midfielders as it is!
