Williams Could Win Cap
Friday, 10th Oct 2014 09:37

Loanee Jonny Williams could win his seventh Wales cap when his national side take on Bosnia-Herzegovina in a Euro 2016 qualifier in Cardiff this evening (Sky Sports 5HD/5 7pm).

Williams, who is on a 93-day loan from Crystal Palace, celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday at the team’s hotel yesterday.

The diminutive midfielder, who is likely to be a sub this evening, also features in a video diary released by the Welsh FA.

Wales are currently top of their group following a 2-1 away win in Andorra in their opening qualifier. They face Cyprus at home on Monday.

Also away on international duty at present are Daryl Murphy, who is with the Republic of Ireland squad who face Gibraltar in Dublin on Saturday evening (Sky Sports HD3/3 4.45pm), and Christophe Berra, who is with Scotland ahead of their qualifier with Georgia at Ibrox, also on Saturday (Sky Sports HD5/5 4pm).

Full-back Jonny Parr received a late call into the Norway squad but remained at home due to a groin problem.

Williams just brings so much to the teams he plays in... He is still young, but I bet one day he will go on to be an amazing manager.

You may well be right, can't claim to be an expert on Welsh football. Hope you're right.
