Berra Unused Sub
Tuesday, 14th Oct 2014 21:52

Blues defender Christophe Berra was an unused sub as Scotland drew 2-2 with Poland in Warsaw in their third Euro 2016 qualifier this evening.

The 29-year-old was the only Town player still with his national squad with Daryl Murphy (achilles) - whose Republic of Ireland side grabbed a last-gasp 1-1 draw in Germany in his absence - and Jonny Williams (ankle) having returned to Portman Road.

Well that was an exciting international break for us - two injuries and one unused sub!

Who are the central defenders ahead of Berra in the pecking order?

Gordon Greer from Brighton, which is crazy coz he is a donkey!!! Alongside Russell martin, who is a right back, playing centre half. Always knew strachan was clueless

Re AlexGreen: Better than getting three injuries, I suppose!

I think that Christophe being an unused sub was good for the club [ obviously not for him ] two out of three injured is bad enough !

Glad he didn't play, he has now had a nice little break and will be fresh for the up coming fixtures. Just hoping that Murphy and Williams are o.k.

For goodness sake people. Greer was in the side that had clean sheet in Poland in March. Both played very well. Strachan just moved Scotland up rankings 15 places and has lost 1 in 7. But Berra does not play so he knows nothing. Get a grip.
