No Deal for Bellamy
Tuesday, 28th Oct 2014 09:46

Ellis Bellamy, the 17-year-old son of former Norwich striker Craig Bellamy, has left Playford Road at the end of his trial and has not been offered terms by the Blues.

Bellamy junior, who was previously with Cardiff’s academy and has been capped by Wales at youth levels, joined up with Town last week and trained with the U18 and U21 squads.

We understand that the youngster, who like his father plays either up front or wide, is now set to link up with League Two Newport County on trial.

I do feel that it is bit unfair to make this public , he is only 17 not an adult, hope he finds a suitable football club.

At the risk of being run out of TWTDville, I'll admit that I have enjoyed watching Bellamy Sr. over the years. Budgie blood aside, he was an exciting player. Great pace and energy. Also a bit of a tw@t, no question. But not the worst. Anyway, good luck to Bellamy Jr. That's a lot of pressure to try to follow the old man.

I am happy about this. Would have been tricky for him to win over the fans with his family connections. However if he had been amazing then most prob would have forgiven him :-)

Shame but he is not up to Micks standards so prob best in long run
