Parr and Tabb Start for Blues
Saturday, 29th Nov 2014 11:26

Jonny Parr and Jay Tabb come into the Town side facing Charlton in this lunchtime’s live Sky game with the suspended Christophe Berra and injured Kevin Bru dropping out (Sky Sports 1/HD1, KO 12.15pm).

Parr will start at right-back with skipper Luke Chambers moving into the centre of the defence alongside Tommy Smith, while Tabb takes over from Bru in the middle of midfield with Teddy Bishop, who has been suffering with a hip flexor problem, missing from the 18.

The midfielder has tweeted that he expects to back next week: "Gutted to be missing the game today! Only got a little niggle, be back next week, hopefully the boys get the three points."

Paul Anderson keeps his place in the front three of what again appears to be a 4-3-3 system - although given the personnel Town could quickly switch to 4-4-2 if required - with Stephen Hunt, back after a hamstring problem, amongst the subs.

New signings Noel Hunt and Sean St Ledger are both on the bench, despite the central defender appearing to have picked up a knock just before half-time during last night’s 1-1 U21s draw with Millwall.

Charlton include former Town academy schoolboys Nick Pope and Morgan Fox from the start, while ex-Blues loanee Stephen Henderson misses out with a shoulder injury.

Charlton: Pope, Solly, Fox, Bikey, Ben Haim, Gudmundsson, Cousins, Coquelin, Jackson, Harriott, Vetokele. Subs: Etheridge, Wilson, Gomez, Bulot, Onyewu, Tucudean, Ahearne-Grant.

Town: Bialkowski, Parr, Mings, Chambers (c), Smith, Skuse, Hyam, Tabb, Anderson, McGoldrick, Murphy. Subs: Gerken, S Hunt, N Hunt, St Ledger, Clarke, Henshall, Sammon.

Having St.Ledger on the bench makes sense, the plan was obviously for him to come off early yesterday.... strong bench :)
