U18s Win at Bristol City

First-year scholar Sam Ford scored twice as Town’s U18s beat Bristol City 2-1 away on Saturday morning.

Felixstowe-based striker Ford netted both goals in the first half to give the Blues a 2-0 lead at the break.

U18s: McDermid, Woolfenden, Smith, Kenlock, Walton Owen, Blanchfield, Dozzell, Jones, Ellis (Ingram 46), Ford (Nydam), Ramadan (Morris 70).

Meanwhile, Paul Taylor was an unused sub and Anthony Wordsworth wasn’t in the 18 as their loan side Rotherham drew 1-1 at home to Blackpool in the Championship.

In League One, Frank Nouble played the first 84 minutes for his loan club Coventry as they drew 0-0 at home to Walsall.

Freddie Veseli’s Port Vale as they drew 2-2 at Gillingham, while Elliott Hewitt was in the Colchester side which was hammered 6-0 away against the MK Dons.

Jack Marriott is still looking for his first goal since September 27th having played the first 67 minutes as Woking beat Braintree 1-0 in the Vanarama Conference.

Young midfielder Jack Willbye, who is on loan at Bury Town, is currently sidelined with a knee problem.

The future is looking bright. These lads are looking very promising. Good result.

Not doing badly having to rely on mainly local talent;so will be nice if we can get Cat 1 and recruit from anywhere.
Seems none of the players Mick has dispatched elsewhere are 'cutting the mustard' so expect he will look to unload most of them in January if possible.
