Town’s U18s get back to action after the Christmas break this afternoon with a Professional Development League Two South game against Charlton at their Sparrows Lane training ground (KO 1pm).

The young Blues play again on Tuesday when they take on Sunderland in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup at the Stadium of Light (7pm), having won at Colchester on penalties in the third round.

Coincidentally, the U18s, who are coached by Gerard Nash and Alan Lee, were knocked out of last year’s competition by the Black Cats at the third round stage last year, the Wearsiders winning a penalty shoot-out.

U18s: McDermid, Emmanuel, Fowler, Smith, Kenlock, McLoughlin, Guldbrandsen, Benyu, Ford, Ramadan, Blanchfield. Subs: Ellis, Jones, Daly, Patterson.
