Hammond Back in U21s for Swansea Trip
Monday, 19th Jan 2015 11:17

Right-back Kyle Hammond returns to the U21s squad for the first time since suffering an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury in March for this afternoon’s game away against Swansea City at their Landore training ground (KO: 1.30pm).

In addition to 19-year-old former Westbourne High School pupil Hammond, who signed a one-year professional deal last summer, Matt Clarke, who made his league debut at Millwall on Saturday, Darren McQueen, Michael Crowe and Ben Wyatt also make the trip. No senior players are involved.

Meanwhile, a very young U18s side - there were nine changes from the team which went out of the FA Youth Cup at Sunderland on Tuesday - lost 5-0 at home to Brentford at Playford Road on Saturday.

U18s: Nick Hayes, Harry Daly, Luke Woolfenden, Kolade Salaudeen, Myles Kenlock, Ronaldo Jones, Dan Muamba (Flynn Downes 71), Chris Smith, Ace Howell, Sam Ford, Ed Ellis (Ben Morris 56). Unused: Callum Fullwood, Ross Meldrum, Tristan Nydam.

Good to see you back Kyle. In time, hopefully another good, solid option for right back.
