Monday, 19th Jan 2015 15:32

Two-goal Town striker Noel Hunt has been named in the Sky Bet Football League Team of the Week for his performance in the 3-1 win at Millwall on Saturday.

Hunt netted in the fifth and 14th minutes to get the Blues off to a flying start against the Lions.

The goals were the Irishman’s first brace since Reading’s January 2013 4-0 FA Cup victory over Sheffield United, while his last double in the league was back in August 2009 in a 3-1 Royals win at Barnsley.

Team of the Week: Goalkeeper: Andrew Boyce (Scunthorpe United). Defenders: Scott Tanser (Rochdale), Craig Cathcart (Watford), Dean Lewington (Milton Keynes Dons). Midfielders: Ben Osborn (Nottingham Forest), Cameron McGeehan (Cambridge United), John Swift (Swindon Town), Lee Tomlin (Middlesbrough). Strikers: Noel Hunt (Ipswich Town), Rory Donnelly (Tranmere Rovers), Andy Mangan (Shrewsbury Town). Manager: Graham Westley (Stevenage).
