McCarthy Makes Four Changes
Wednesday, 4th Mar 2015 19:21

Town boss Mick McCarthy has made his promised changes with strike pair Daryl Murphy and Freddie Sears amongst those dropping to the bench.

Chris Wood and ex-Leeds striker Luke Varney are handed their full Blues debuts with Paul Anderson and Jonny Parr starting on the right and left of midfield respectively and Kevin Bru and Richard Chaplow amongst the subs.

Cameron Stewart - who was on loan with the Whites last season - and Paddy Kenny, a former Leeds keeper, Kundai Benyu and Alex Henshall also made the trip but are left out of the 18. Ex-Whites striker Noel Hunt, who is on crutches and expected to be out for the season due to his medial knee ligament injury, was also amongst those to travel.

Leeds: Silvestri, Wootton, Bamba, Bellusci, Cooper, Byram, Cook, Murphy, Mowatt, C Taylor, Sharp. Subs: S Taylor, Berardi, Sloth, Doukara, Antenucci, Cani, Morison.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Mings, Berra, Smith, Skuse, Tabb, Anderson, Parr, Varney, Wood. Subs: Gerken, Clarke, Chaplow, Connolly, Bru, Sears, Murphy. Referee: Mark Brown (East Yorkshire).

When people say he should be the first name on the team sheet. Well for us Jay Tabb is the first name on the team sheet because he's MM best mate

THIS IS STARTING TO GET RIDIOCLOUS

I DIDNT REALISE WHEN YOU NEED A WIN, YOU PUT YOUR BEST PLAYER AND YOUR TOPGOAL SCORER ON THE FRICKIN BENCH

Even if we end up winning I'm really worried that he's starting with Murphy and Sears on the bench, completely crazy and setting himself for major criticism if we lose

Is it just me or is the word tabb in the starting lineup starting to piss anyone else off ?

Interesting decision, let's see how it works out. I would imagine he's wanting to get everyone firing on all cylinders based on current performances and the upcoming fixture list. Murphy maybe more surprising but he's played allot of football this season and is due a rest, wood based on last seasons performance can certainly do the job vacated by him.

Oh dear. Mate Tabby starts again. I hope he scores a hat trick. But Tabb isn't good enough and has been poor. Midfield looks poor. We have a right back in midfield. Up front, well ... Murphy has struggled recently and deserves a break.

Mick you have finally lost it for good. Smith a liability you still pick him. Chambers a joke at full back you still pick him there. Tabb so far off the pace at this level you still pick him. Sears our best player by a distance sunday you drop him murphy top scorer in league you drop him our best full back at left midfield our best right sided centre back at full back....... There is no understanding this selection !!!! Truly you have lost the plot Mr stubborn.

Same old stubborn Mick, making changes but not the ones he knows everybody wants.
Tabb over Bru? Wrong!
Smith still in the team in an unbalanced back four? Wrong!
Freddie Sears dropped after being our best player in last 2 games? Wrong!
Dropping the leagues top scorer in the middle of a promotion battle? Wrong!

What the hell is that? Looks like McCarthy would cut his own arm off for 0-0 as usual. Can understand resting Murph for Brentford but why Sears too? Chambers right back again is a joke. Smith should've been dropped and why is Tabb not at Rochdale yet??

Let's delve into MMs mind... lets play 2 new STs who have been benching for all of this season with 1 goal between them in 20 matches this season, and replace the top scorer in the league and the in-form ST. While we're at it, lets continue to play a CB at RB and play a full back at LM, with a hobbit still in the side just cause we're BFFs.

If he has legitimate reasons, and we win comfortably tonight, I will fully understand; but we have 20 players fit for choice and the starting XI looks lacklustre on paper. PLEASE prove me wrong MM.
