Berra Could Add to Caps Wednesday, 25th Mar 2015 10:22 Centre-half Christophe Berra will be hoping to add to his international caps this evening when Scotland take on Northern Ireland in a friendly at Hampden Park (Sky Sports 1, 7.30pm). Berra has previously won 28 caps, scoring two goals, but has been a bit-part player under Gordon Strachan’s management, making only one final-moments sub appearance in a 1-0 friendly victory in Norway since the former Celtic and Middlesbrough boss took charge. However, the 30-year-old looks set to play some part this evening with Strachan planning to give everyone in his squad a run out either tonight or in Sunday’s European Championships qualifier against Gibraltar, also at Hampden Park. “Over the two games, I'm hoping to get everybody some time on the pitch,” Strachan said. “At this stage of the season we need to make sure we send everyone back to their clubs as fit as they were when they came. That's a hard balancing act. We want to send them back positive as well." Former Blues striker Jordan Rhodes, currently with Blackburn, is also in the squad for the two games.
