Town Duo Unused Subs
Sunday, 29th Mar 2015 22:11

Town pair Christophe Berra and Daryl Murphy were unused subs as Scotland beat Gibraltar 6-1 at Hampden Park and the Republic of Ireland drew 1-1 with Poland at the Aviva Stadium in Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Berra, who scored the Scots' winner in their 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland on Wednesday, remains on 29 caps and three goals, while Murphy is still on 14 Ireland appearances.

Loanee striker Chris Wood is the next senior player in international action when he skippers New Zealand in their friendly against South Korea in Seoul on Tuesday.

Academy schoolboy Andre Dozzell will also be in international action on the same day when England’s U16s face Mexico in their first game at the Montaigu Tournament in France.

The Town squad return to training after their four-day break on Monday ahead of Friday’s crucial home game against Bournemouth. Groupon are running a ticket promotion involving that match and the following two home games.

The Blues’ U21s make a rare appearance at Portman Road on Monday evening when they take on Coventry City (KO 7pm).

Well, that's your own fault Ireland. Fancy not playing Murphy. Now you ended up with a 1-1 draw

Hilarious comments. Scotland level with Germany at half way stage but Town fans slagging them off as they have stayed loyal to the players who have got the results. Does MM not do the same!!

Great, both will be bouyed by good international results, and both fresh!
Im glad they got a bit of rest tbh.

Ireland v Scotland at the end of the season, nice incentive for both lads to keep their standards as high as possible.
