Signed Town Images Up for Charity Auction
Signed Town Images Up for Charity Auction
Wednesday, 15th Apr 2015 12:40

Supporters will have the chance to own some iconic signed Ipswich Town images in a special online auction launched on Sunday 19th April.

The auction of signed Town photos, past and present, captures some of the most famous moments from the club’s history — from winning the FA Cup and UEFA Cup to the Wembley play-off triumph in 2000.

The current squad have also supported the auction by signing memorable images from this season’s exciting promotion challenge.

All money raised from the week-long auction will be split between West Suffolk Hospital Charity’s Forget-Me-Not Dementia Campaign and the ITFC Academy.

"The auction finishes on the evening of Sunday 26th April — just hours after a special charity football match at Bury Town between an ITFC Legends squad and the Forget-Me-Not FC, made up of members of the public who have paid to play against their heroes.

Dave Gooderham, fundraising manager for the hospital charity, said: “The iconic images cover some great moments from Ipswich Town’s past and have been signed by the likes of Kevin Beattie, Matt Holland and Mick Mills.

“We are also delighted to also have signed photos from Mick McCarthy, Luke Chambers, Tyrone Mings, Daryl Murphy and many more.”

The auction will start at 8pm on Sunday evening when the special hospital charity eBay page will go live, ending a week later on the evening of Sunday 26th April.

Also on the 26th, fans will get a chance to see the likes of Titus Bramble, Kieron Dyer and Simon Milton in action at Ram Meadow for the special charity match supporting both charities.

Kick-off is 3pm with tickets available on the gate, priced £10 adults and £5 children.

The day will also include a beer festival, live music and a special match involving Bury Town U10s, which kicks off at midday.
