Blackburn Trip Live on Sky
Wednesday, 29th Apr 2015 11:07

Town’s final day of the season game at Blackburn Rovers has been confirmed as one of Saturday’s live Sky matches (Sky Sports 2 from midday, KO 12.15pm).

The currently fifth-placed Blues need just a point to confirm a place in the Championship play-offs for the first time in a decade but could lose and still make it as long as two of the results of the games involving Derby, Brentford and Wolves go in their favour.

Either Norwich, currently fourth, or Middlesbrough, who are third at present, await in the semi-finals.

The first legs will be played on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May with the second games on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May. Town, who can't finish higher than fifth, would be at home in the first leg whoever they play.

The sixth-placed Rams' final match at home to Reading is also being shown live by the satellite broadcaster with all the last day fixtures played simultaneously.

Town have sold almost 2,000 seats for the trip to Ewood Park with tickets available on the day.

Delighted as I can now get to watch the game but worried as we aren't that good when on Sky.

I have faith in the boys that we can do this and then let the lottery of the Play Off's begin.

COYB !

Its such an enormous game ,we need a draw to guarantee things as brentford will stuff now relegated wigan ,and the sham that is reading will get stuffed vs derby. COYB do us proud…..

Not surprised, very little else left of any importance with last weekends results... Come on you mighty Tractor Boys, please don't lose.

COYB!!! onwards and upwards. I think we will be playing our playoff on the saturday as I am convinced Norwich will finish third and if they do the omens are good out of all the playoffs third place has produced the least winners.

Without getting to far ahead of myself I do hope we avoid Norwich they are genuinely dangerous. Anyway, I am an ITFC fan born and bred from Ipswich but now live and work in Inverness so if there is anybody in the Highlands who is watching the game (haven't meet a fellow ITFC fan yet!) I will be in the Auctioneers, Church Street, Inverness for this game.

Suppose there is something to be said for knowing that other results are almost certainly not going to help. We have to rely on our own performance, should concentrate the mind on the job if nothing else

I might be being thick but how does this work? Is the whole game going to be live on Sky or do they flip between matches?

@ITFC Punch, hasn't big bad Terry Butcher still got roots in Inverness!
The Rotherham result last night has gone against us, and I can't see Derby or Brentford slipping up in their games, and I wouldn't be surprised if both score a hatful of goals, therefore if this does materialise we HAVE to get a result at Ewood! The question is how will Mick play this game, with caution or on the offensive?

Mixed thoughts. On one hand I'd prefer we face 'Borough next and progress to facing Norwich at Wembley for the atmosphere. What a match that would be. On the other hand, would like to see home and away matches with Norwich but would prefer we play at home on the second match. Lets get past squeaky bum Saturday, first.

Oh sweet lord. I shudder at the thought of the state of my buttocks at the final whistle with all the constant clenching.

Warktheline I believe Butch has moved back to his home, Suffolk. He is seen regularly at PR these days.

We need to get over the line with this game. If we do it's a shame we are at home in first leg, when we won it last time we were away in the first leg.

Most watchable team in Europe? What is that, double figures for games on telly?

I'm going to be nervous, angry, sad, shouting, whinging but hopefully after all of that - completely rejoyous and over the moon!

COYB one last little push for the budgie bashing we all crave!
