Once More for Bobby DVD Competition #2 Results
Thursday, 18th Jun 2015 10:00 by Gav

The draw for our latest Once More For Bobby competition has been made and the results are published here.

Once More For Bobby is a film about the life and times of Sir Bobby Robson. It follows a charity bike ride by ex-Newcastle United defender Robbie Elliott and triathlete Phil Gray across Europe and tells Sir Bobby’s story over the 3,500 miles they travelled visiting all eight football clubs that he managed. We had five copies of the DVD up for grabs.

We asked you: In which season would Ipswich have won the old First Division under Sir Bobby’s management had the current three points for a win been adopted earlier? The correct result was the 1974/75 season in which Town were third to Derby County. Had three points for a win be used in that season, Derby and Town would have tied on 74 points but Town would have won on the current system of goal difference (+22 compared with Derby's +18) or goal average (1.5 to 1.367) which was used at the time.

Five winners have been drawn at random: Mick Bailey from Ipswich, Mark Brown from Oxfordshire, Phil Lawes from Devon, Kevin Verlander from Stowmarket and Shaun Ellingham from Bedfordshire.

If you were unlucky not to have won one of the 10 copies of the DVD, it's available for purchase at Amazon, HMV and at Planet Blue.
