Posh Price Rise On Matchday
Thursday, 23rd Jul 2015 11:54

Fans planning to attend Saturday’s friendly at Peterborough United (KO 3pm) are advised to buy their tickets in advance with adult prices increasing by £5 on the day.

Seats are priced at £10 for adults, senior citizens and under-22s, and £5 for under-18s. Tickets are available on the day but for £5 more for adults.

Town have already sold 314 advance tickets, which are available online with a print at home option from Peterborough here.

Meanwhile, Town have revealed that season ticket sales are up 16 per cent on same time last year, to 13,651, close to last year's overall total.

This summer the club are issuing season ticket holders with new cards which will start to be posted out next week and should have landed on everyone’s doormat within the next fortnight.

A 50% hike in ticket price on the day, IS a joke for a friendly.

Great news about the season ticket sales. Even more money for the club to invest in the playing staff. Assists with FFP. Great.

Does anyone have any spare tickets for the Brentford game? I promised my dad for his birthday, but haven't been able to get any as only for season ticket holders. christopherpettit@hotmail.com

Don't see any issue with the price increase - it's perfectly easy to buy in advance and either print your ticket at home or collect it on the day.

Peterborough need to encourage as many advance sales as possible so that they can plan staffing/catering effectively, and maximise sales and provide a better fan experience by being able to provide adequate staffing and stock levels.

Off topic, but Brentford is going to be a tough test. They seem to be really going for it. Having signed a German U-21, they now seem to have got Lasse Vibe, a Dane who was very impressive in topping the Swedish goal-scoring table with Gothenburg last season (23 goals). I think we'd have been pretty impressed if Mick had brought these two to ITFC. Just hope they haven't bedded in when we meet them.
