Touré: Bru Played Part in Move
Monday, 3rd Aug 2015 19:02

New signing Larsen Touré says his one-time Levski Sofia team-mate Kevin Bru played a significant part in the Guinean linking up with the Blues. The 31-year-old has signed a one-year deal with an option for another season.

Bru and Touré spent the 2013/14 campaign playing for Bulgarian side Levski before the Mauritian international joined the Blues and the winger or striker moved back to France to join with Ligue 2 side Arles-Avignon, who he left at the end of the season.

“Kevin said that the manager was looking for players so I sent him a video of me playing and he passed it on,” Touré explained to the club site.

“The manager liked what he saw and I was asked in for a trial and now I’m delighted that I have joined Ipswich Town.

“For many years I have wanted to play in England and now I have the chance. Kevin has told me all about the club and the town. It’s a fantastic stadium and the fans live for the football. I can see that they really support the team.

“It was hard when I first arrived here because I have not played for three months but I’m getting there with my fitness and I’m looking forward to playing for the club.”

We signed him based on a video which he produced?! Oh dear. We really did fail to land our main targets didn't we?

It seems those glasses mist up occasionally with his red card record but good cover and welcome to PR - If we land the Hearts lad the squad is in good shape
