On-loan Town central defender Wayne Brown has been voted Watford's Player of the Month for February by Hornets' fans. Brown recently started the second month of his loan spell at Vicarage Road.

The Barking-born defender is keen to make the move to Watford permanent and TWTD understands that Brown, who is set to get married in the summer, would like things sorted sooner rather than later.

We also hear that Town have had scouts watching the 24-year-old's impressive performances for the Hornets.

Watford manager Gianluca Vialli seems equally keen on making Brown's move a long-term one. Last week the Watford boss said: "He's been a great signing for us, probably one of our best signings this season. At the moment it is simply another month's loan, but we are looking at the situation and there's a possibility that we will try to make the transfer permanent.

"Wayne is still young but he has got a lot of personality, he has desire and he is very professional. He knows what it takes to be a successful player and I believe he loves being here. There is no doubt in my mind that he has been influential on the pitch."
