Town have confirmed that new addition Piotr Malarczyk has signed a two-year deal with an option for a further season.

The fee is officially undisclosed, but Blues are understood to have triggered a clause in the 24-year-old’s contract with his hometown club Korona Kielce which meant he was allowed to move on if they received an offer of 50,000 Polish Zloty, just over £8,500.

The paperwork relating to Malarczyk’s signing is yet to go through and is not expected to be completed in time for him to face Brighton on Saturday.

Manager Mick McCarthy says the Blues may do one more deal before Tuesday's deadline: “Maybe, we’ve got one more that we might be doing.”
