Bru, Bishop and Oar in U21s at Birmingham
Monday, 14th Sep 2015 11:11

Kevin Bru, Teddy Bishop and recent signing Tommy Oar are all set to play for the U21s against Birmingham City at their Wast Hilsl training ground this afternoon (KO 1pm).

Bru and Bishop are on the way back from hamstring injuries, while Oar is short of football having joined the Blues just prior to the international break having left his previous club FC Utrecht at the end of last season.

The trio’s involvement today almost certainly means they will play no part at Leeds tomorrow but they could return to the first-team squad for Friday’s live Sky game at home to Birmingham’s senior side.

Young midfielders Adam McDonnell and Dylan Connolly are also set to be involved in today’s U21s match having been away with the Irish U19s and U21s respectively last week.

We have certainly missed Bru since he was injured. He is so much better playing alongside Skuse than Douglas. Skuse and Douglas are too similar in the way they play to be in the same team. Bishop's speed will also make a difference to the team that played against Reading. Can't see how all three will fit in but hopefully we will find out on Friday.

Mick has a headache. Bru for Douglas is a no-brainer for me, but who would you leave out for bishop? Any chance of playing with 12 and hope no-one notices?

I think that now Mick has had his fingers burnt by being perhaps too attack minded he will stick with Sears up front alongside one from Murphs, McGoldrick and Pitman. Keep with Frazer but bring in a more defensive minded midfielder. Tabb maybe.

Bishop is a massive miss, and Bru is also way ahead of the current CM in my opinion.
Two holders who don't do anything positive limit the play enormously. And didn't help defensively much on Friday night either!
It's the Back Four that worries me. They were all poorish on Friday, although we know Berra is a top man in this division.

I know Mick probably picked the wrong team friday, but there was no excuse for a performance like that.
