Yorwerth and Connolly Win U21 Caps

Blues youngsters Josh Yorwerth and Dylan Connolly picked up U21 caps with Wales and the Republic of Ireland respectively in Euro 2017 qualifiers earlier this evening.

Centre-half Yorwerth played the full 90 minutes for the Welsh side coached by ex-Blues midfielder Geraint Williams as they drew 0-0 with Denmark in Aalborg. Town keeper Michael Crowe was an unused sub.

Winger Connolly came on as a sub in the 65th minute and won his seventh U21 cap as the Irish youngsters beat Lithuania 3-0 in Waterford to continue their 100 per cent start to their

This guy is getting stronger by the minute, and has got pace, Emanuel is getting stronger and got pace (needs game time to progress), Clarke is doing it at Pompey, Nudsen will make it and Smith is a stalwart and future Captain...imo of a great back line?

It sounds like Kenlock has a bright future as well, as he got great reviews after the first two cup games.

I liked the look of yorworth when I saw him playing Peterborough, not the finished article by any imagination however raw talent and very good attacking headers. With decent coaching we could Defo have a starting CB in a year or two
