Monday, 12th Oct 2015 13:45

Town have confirmed that Josh Emmanuel and Myles Kenlock will be in the side facing Charlton in the U21 Premier League Cup at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm).

James Alabi, Alex Henshall, Adam McDonnell, Michael Crowe and Kyle Hammond are also expected be amongst those involved against the Addicks.

Entry is free for season ticket holders with prices otherwise £3 for adults and £1 for concessions/juniors.

The Blues took part in the U21 Premier League Cup for the first time last season, beating Swansea 2-1 at Portman Road in the second qualifying round before losing 1-0 to Southampton, also at home.

The 19 clubs with Category One academies enter the competition at the next stage, the first round proper.

The U21s were previously scheduled to play Crewe Alexandra at Playford Road in an U21 Professional Development League Two South game today but that match will now take place on Monday 28th March.

Last season MM mentioned that Kyle Hammond was a real talent who he was expecting to push on to the first team. Is this still the case?

I know that he was injured for a lengthy spell but just haven't heard anything about him this season.

Hopefully Josh will be starting on Saturday vs Huddersfield, round pegs, round holes.

Thought there may have been room for one or two other fringe players;but perhaps the squad already has the three permitted over age players.
Hope to see a decent game that makes the 30 mile journey worthwhile.

To me sounds like Chambers at RB Sat then.

Some people, myself included, believe there is a better side to be made up of players outside the regular starting 11. Upto these lads to prove it.
