Town Amongst Clubs Linked With Grays Youngster
Sunday, 18th Oct 2015 17:10

Town are reported to be amongst a number of league clubs keeping tabs on Grays Athletic central midfielder Nathan Ferguson.

According to the Sunday People the Blues and fellow Championship sides Reading and Charlton are keen on the box to box midfielder, while Premier League West Ham are amongst the clubs to have sent scouts to run the rule over Ferguson, whose club are currently sixth in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Earlier this week, Grays revealed that League One Fleetwood Town havev issued a seven-day notice officially informing them of their intention to approach Ferguson as they are permitted to do with a non-contract player.

Town boss Mick McCarthy has previously had notable successes when dipping into non-league having signed Michael Kightly from Grays when Wolves manager and picking up Tyrone Mings from Chippenham Town for the Blues for £10,000 and selling him in an £8 million deal in the summer.

If you want to play football don't come here you sound exciting and adventurous, so that's you knackered if you were a Skuse/Douglas type of midfielder you would have a chance of a game.

The last Ryman Premier league kid we had on trial was Dan Sweeney of Kingstonian (now Dulwich).

Very poor in U21 game at Millwall.

Hopefully this kid is better.

Can he shoot from outside the box?

Or inside for that matter...

Will Town have to wait until Janurary to sign him?

Will he cost more than £50? Cause we won't sign if so

If he looks at our central midfield and sees the opportunities given to bru and coke, think he might decide to look elsewhere

I'd like a box-to-box midfielder. At the moment we have box-to-halfway line-back to our own box midfielders.

Another cheap option. No surprise. We need proven quality.

No point coming here McCarthy won't play him anyway.

Got to be better than some of our midfield options these days. So long since we have even had a box-to-box midfielder.

As long as you can pass back to chambers to hoof your place in the team will be secure if you like to play football on the grass get forward dribble and pass you have no chance of selection in a mm team.

Why are we being so negative when being linked with an exciting prospect?? Look at what happened with mings why wouldn't we look at him?

A month or so ago everyone was raving about our great start, now we have had a dip in form it's all about MM going and he doesn't know what he's doing.....why don't you all stop moaning and support the team! We still have Bishop and Hyam to come back from injury who are more than capable of making things happen in midfield.

Are all you moaning lot Yellow and Green??? You sound like you are!!!!

Pumpee they are only happy when they are moaning if you dare show any support for the team or management you get called dim and worse, how can people call themselves supporters when they boo their own team of the park.
