Friday, 20th Nov 2015 14:58

Striker James Alabi was on target as Town’s U21s drew 1-1 away at QPR this afternoon.

The former Stoke man stuck on 75 to give the Blues the lead with Sebastian Polter netting the equaliser from the penalty spot after a foul by Myles Kenlock with five minutes left on the clock.

Midfielder Luke Hyam played the first 74 minutes of his first game since suffering a knee injury in January.

U21s: Henly, Emmanuel, Fowler, Robinson, Kenlock, Hyam (C Smith 74), McDonnell, Hammond, Connolly (McKendry 54), Alabi, Ford (Morris 79). Unused: Marsden, Blanchfield.

Adam McDonnell our best player by miles in this match.

Get him out on loan.

Henshall came off at the end of Monday's game with what looked like a niggle so that probably kept him out.

What's going on with Teddy, why not in the squad?

So how goods Alabi then, worth a squad call up as #4 striker in McGoldrick's absence? Assuming he won't be in the squad this weekend per this game seems a shame.

Likewise heard great things about McDonnel - anywhere near a chance?

Connolly supposedly class, subbed on 54 mins why? What's happened with him, not clicked?

Perhaps Connolly was subbed early so he can be in the squad tomorrow?
