Gary Croft and Manu Thetis are both out to prove their fitness in today'd reserve game at Oxford United. Crof has recovered far more quickly than expected from his gash sustained against Huddersfield whilst Manu is back after an ankle injury cut short the first game of his return from a hamstring problem. If they do well both could find themselves in the side for Saturday's game with Portsmouth. Croft in place of loanee Michael Clegg and Thetis in place of the injured John McGreal. French loanee Patrice Maurel plays his second game for Town's reserves. Full squad: 1. James Pullen 2 John Kennedy 3 Gary Croft 4. Manuel Thetis 5. Justin Miller 6. Chris Keeble 7. Patrice Maurel 8. Marco Holster 9. Jonas Axeldal 10. Neil Midgley 11. Sean Friars 12. Kevin Inglis 13. Tomi Niemi 14. Adam Miller 15. Richard Logan 16. Colm Daly.

It seems only a matter of time before Adam Tanner joins Colchester on a free. Colchester manager Steve Whitton said: "I will be watching Adam play in the future for Ipswich reserves" Tanner currently has a hamstring problem which is keeping him from action. Tanner's friend, Ipswich Town old boy Jason Dozzell, is also a Colchester player, whilst Whitton, coach Geraint Williams and a host of others were at Town during Tanner's time at Portman Road. Millwall have also been linked after expressing an interest in taking Tanner on loan earlier in the season.

Richard Logan is in the England Under-18 squad playing France at Wigan later in the month.
