Morris and Dozzell Win Caps
Tuesday, 29th Mar 2016 22:30

Academy pair Ben Morris and Andre Dozzell were in the England U17s side which drew 1-1 with Ukraine in the final game of their Euro 2016 elite qualifying mini-tournament at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium this evening.

Morris played the full 90 minutes and won his sixth cap, while Dozzell, who now has 12 caps and has scored three U17s goals, started but was subbed on 61.

England and Ukraine had already both qualified for the finals in Azerbaijan in May.

Elsewhere, Jonas Knudsen was an unused sub as Denmark were beaten 1-0 by Scotland at Hampden Park.

The 23-year-old, who has been capped twice at full level, is still to play for his country since joining the Blues last summer.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s U15s beat their Town counterparts 3-1 in the annual Academy Showcase game at Portman Road this evening, Armando Dobra scoring the Blues’ goal just before half-time to make it 1-1 at the break.
