Bishop and Maitland-Niles Start for U21s
Monday, 25th Apr 2016 12:17

Town have confirmed that Teddy Bishop and Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be amongst those involved for the U21s in their final game of the season against Millwall at Playford Road this afternoon (KO 1pm).

Adam McDonnell, Myles Kenlock and Josh Emmanuel are also set to feature for one-time Lion Mark Kennedy’s side.

Millwall have named ex-Blues skipper Carlos Edwards and Ed Upson, the scorer of the winning goal in Town's 2005 FA Youth Cup triumph, in their team.

Town’s U21scould climb to a final finishing position of sixth depending on their result and how QPR fare when they host Colchester this evening.

Millwall are currently second and they would confirm their place in the end-of-season play-offs if they at least match Cardiff's result in their game at home to Crystal Palace.

U21s: Crowe, Emmanuel, Kenlock, McDonnell, C Smith, Robinson, Maitland-Niles, Bishop, Patterson, McLoughlin, Blanchfield. Subs: Marsden, Fowler, Downes, McKendry, Morris.

Millwall: Forde, Edwards, Chesmain, Upson, Nelson, Mbulu, Twardek, Farrell, Philpot, White, Otudeko. Subs: Brown, Girling Donovan, Wisson, Leighton.

Will be good for Bishop to get hopefully another 90 minutes under his belt.

I hope Ainsley takes it easy... does his mother know?

Sounds a more exciting line-up than our 1st team often is! Good luck to the lads, hope some of you get given a proper chance to shine next season ahead of some of the existing deadwood!

A decent U-21 team right there considering Bunyu, Clarke, Yorwerth are not available.

I really wish we had a send back option as part of Niles loan terms- I assume we don't.

I wonder what he's on at Arsenal p.w ?

I don't think he'll be on too much if i'm honest considering he is only 18 and not a first teamer.

Andre Dozzell has signed his contract. Just seen Marcus Evans in his Bentley followed by Andre turning up with his Dad, then being interviewed and then leaving with his Dad.

Just thought I'd let you all know.
