Hospital Cup Date Set
Monday, 25th Apr 2016 21:25

Town’s U16s will face their Norwich City counterparts in this year’s Hospital Cup at Carrow Road on Tuesday 17th May (KO 7.45pm).

The Hospital Cup, a pre-season staple at first-team level for many years until 1990, was revived as an annual U16s match played between the Blues and Canaries last year when the Norfolk side ran out 3-0 winners at Portman Road.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH) with prices £3 for adults and £1 for under-17s, while fans are invited to make a further donation to EACH if they wish to do so.

The game will be played over two halves of 40 minutes followed by extra-time and penalties if required.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from Norwich City’s ticket office by telephone on 0844 826 1902.

Went to see this last year. I hope we take vengeance as last year we got absolutely thrashed at home. Think it was 2 or 3-0 but should have been 7/8-0. Possession stats were hugely inferior and I think we managed 1 shot off target all game.

Oh dear as its at Carrow Rd will be difficult to get any sort of result against a Grade 1 Academy.Looks like we have settled for 2nd best again;and to think Ipswich have always been on par or better than Norwich for most of my 50+ years following.

Not anymore!!!

Can't expect to get a result at Carrow Road. When was the last time we beat Norwich at anything except "most boring team in Europe".
