Norwich and Bristol City Home Games Move
Friday, 1st Jul 2016 17:16

Town’s home derby against Norwich City has provisionally been moved to Sunday 21st August with a midday kick-off, although this could still change if Sky want to show the match live, while the game against Bristol City at Portman Road has switched to Friday 30th December (KO 7.45pm).

The club say they will clarify the scheduling of the Norwich game as soon as they are able to do so.

The Canaries’ first visit to Portman Road since the 2014/15 play-offs had originally been set for Saturday 20th August, while Bristol City were initially expected in Suffolk on New Year’s Eve.

As with the switch of the visit to Burton Albion to Good Friday, the game against the Robins has been moved to give the players an additional day in which to recover ahead of their next match.

Looks like we're getting a load more night games again this season, that norwich game can't come quick enough!

Norwich under the lights would be far better. No atmosphere at all with midday kick off

Praying the nodge game gets moved to the Friday night as I'm meant to be at V Festival that weekend, was devastated when I realised!

Saturday 3pm or Tuesday 7:45pm should be kick off times and Sky can do one. If they want to screen it then fit in with the football league. Drives me nuts al these changes every year.

Totally agree Carsey! Make plans, all for them to have to change or cannot go. If the Norwich one isn't moved to Saturday 12.00, I cannot go. Will be gutted to miss it.

There is no chance of Nodge game being on a Friday night, we all know what happened at the last night game with them at Portman Road, why would the police want fans drinking all day ahead of the biggest game of the season.

About time the police were told to back off and do their job if needed. Not having a 3 oclock or 7.45 kick off dilutes the atmosphere and enjoyment of the day by 50%

Madness, it apparently gives the players one more day's rest for the next game, but we also play on the Tuesday before the game, so surely it gives them one day less to recover after the Brighton game!!!
