Town midfielder Jim Magilton is facing an anxious time after his son Adam was taken seriously ill. Magilton pulled out of the Northern Ireland squad earlier in the week and has not been included for Town's weekend game.

Six-year-old Adam Magilton was taken ill earlier in the week and has undergone a series of tests at Ipswich Hospital. No details of his illness have been released.

Adam is back at home today with Jim and his wife Collette in constant attention. The Town midfielder said: "Suffice to say we are very concerned. It was a great shock to hear what had happened when away in Ireland in midweek. At the moment I am trying to concentrate on the situation at home."

George Burley realises the situation Magilton is in: "This is a very emotional time for him and his family and we all respect that.

"The boy has been in about out of hospital and Jim needs to be with his family right now."
