Matt Holland has revealed that Town chairman David Sheepshanks called a meeting with the players ahead of the match with Arsenal. Holland also reveals that the chairman had a gift for each member of the squad.

The Town skipper writes in his Independent on Sunday column: "Our preparations have been slightly different as our chairman, David Sheepshanks, spoke with the squad. This is unusual but was very inspiring.

"The meeting took only 10 minutes and he handed each player a compact disc of the song 'Something Inside So Strong'.

"Listen to it, really listen to the lyrics, he told us. There were no threats or recriminations, just a chairman and our biggest fan urging us to not to give up. "It's not over yet."

"He finished by telling us that he believed in us, the people of Ipswich believed in us and, importantly, we had to believe in ourselves."
