Lincoln Replay Live on BBC One
Tuesday, 10th Jan 2017 16:04

Town’s FA Cup third round replay against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank on Tuesday 17th January will be shown live on BBC One. The game moves to an 8.05pm kick-off as a result.

The Blues drew 2-2 with the Vanarama National League leaders at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking after that match Imps boss Danny Cowley said he hoped the replay would be selected for broadcast live.

“We’d love that, we had the television for the Oldham game," he said. "It’s money that’s massive to us as a club. It makes a significant difference.

“If that was to happen that would obviously be great and would just add to what should be a really good replay.”

Each club will receive a live broadcast fee of £72,000 with the winners of the game, which will go to extra-time and penalties if not settled in the 90 minutes, claiming a further £67,500 from the FA prize fund.

The winners of the replay will face Championship leaders Brighton and Hove Albion at home in the fourth round.

The Blues, with whom manager Mick McCarthy is yet to win an FA Cup tie since taking charge in November 2012, last reached the fourth round in 2010, while Lincoln City most recently made it past the third round in 1976.

Chance for the rest of the country to watch the rubbish we have had to put up with for the past three years.
Saturday was the first time in 50 years i could not be bothered to go to a home match, Football is supposed to be entertainment under MM Ipswich supporters we do not get any, unless things change very quickly i think that season ticket reminder will be going in the bin.
I would like to ask MM one question would he if he was a Town supporter pay to watch the rubbish we have to watch week in week out.
Finally where are the new signings. I thought he said he was going to get his work done at the beginning of the transfer window.

This is going to end in disaster. MM picking his favourites, probably still playing for the draw (or in this case chancing our arm in the penalty shoot out).
If we were to lose hopefully ME grows a pair and sacks the clueless dinosaur

£72K which I'm sure Evans will fully reinvest into the playing squad ...

This could be a disaster, but surely we will win this?

So the whole TV audience can see how cr&p we are !!! If £140k for victory is not enough incentive for the dinosaur tw&t to put a full team out who knows what is. Oh wait we tried that in the first match and still couldn't beat a non league team. The Rose & Crown could probably turn our pile of dross over at the moment.

We're the laughing stock of football. Any of our fans who failed so clearly at their job as our manager and players would be dismissed without thought but no, this berk and these tripe players keep getting another go.

Wake up Evans, stop using this great football club as a tax break for your profitable businesses before it's too late. This is your mess and even you must be embarrassed by now. We all know what you're doing despite your pathetic 5 point plan sh1t so shape up or ship out !!!!

I am pleased it is on TV, as it is a chance to win, play well and win over some new fans. It's easy to feel doom-and-gloom and I know we may well lose, but apparently we played well at QPR and we beat Wigan in our last two away games. Against a NON LEAGUE team, we should all still expect to win.

Let's put Bart back in goal please as in the gaze of the nation it is not time to worry about giving Gerken match fitness!

I am not as negative as some towards MM (he has got to go though), but I was dreading this as it will wind Lincoln up even more to play well, make ITFC even more nervous and I can only see one result and national embarrassment for the club.

Time to wash my hair next Tuesday evening me thinks !

At least this will save us some hard earned wasted cash watching the crap Mick serves up
every week sitting with our heads in our hands in a comfortable chair for a change!!! I hope we are practising pens as that is what our leader will set us up to get as there is not a point to be gained in this game it's do or die in front of the nation Mick!!(not that you will give a toss) your selection will be interesting to say the least Bart has to replace your jelly on a plate favourite for a start after that pick a side that will carry the game to Lincoln because they are going to be up for this and will give us hell, we need people to stand up and take the flak and perform that means no Skuse or Douglas(IT'S GOING TO BE A MANS GAME!!), this Is your biggest nightmare awaiting you Mick get it right or GO!!!!!!

Can't wait for the studio discussion about our current situation and Lineker or some pundit going on about what a great manager MM is and "careful what you wish for".

Come and watch us every week; we certainly don't wish for what we see.....

Great to see the BBC giving the little clubs an airing...and Lincoln should be pretty excited too.

......fully support the Anxt that people are writing but here's another view ......Evans surely has got to say toMM to be serious in the cups ....get in telly , full house at Lincoln .....if we win we will have earnt @£300k out if this ....enough for us to be able to take a calculated risk and pay for an exciting lower league striker ...if it doesn't work out...so what by taking a cup seriously you earn money
We loose millions a year so every penny counts ......it's not just Mick who makes me scratch my head where are the money men and the owner in demanding that Mick takes things seriously

Therein61 if its going to be a mans game its not for Bru or Dozzell as both were awol on Saturday. My guess is Skuse and/or Douglas will play and Gerks will be in goal. Although Bart has been generally excellent this season the last few games he has been somewhat shaky but I concede he is the better of the two keepers we have. Looking forward to visiting a new ground.

I can agree with one point that MM has made - "the team is lacking confidence". Anyone involved in any sport will know that confidence is a major factor in success.

This a chance to build up that confidence. It does need however
1. The manager to pick the correct team (that point is down to him)
2. The players must believe in themselves and AND each other.
3. The travelling support must play their part.

Lets hope for a win as it might change the season but on the otherhand ........
