Diagouraga, Emmanuel and Smith Start Against Wolves
Tuesday, 7th Mar 2017 19:09

Town boss Mick McCarthy makes three changes to his team for tonight’s home game against his old club Wolves with Toumani Diagouraga, Josh Emmanuel and Tommy Smith returning to the starting line-up and Emyr Huws dropping out due to the hamstring injury he suffered on Saturday and Jordan Spence and Myles Kenlock moving to the bench.

Diagouraga comes into the three-man midfield alongside Cole Skuse and Grant Ward, while Smith makes his first start since undergoing surgery in September on the left of the back three with Jonas Knudsen switching to left wing-back. Emmanuel takes over from Spence at right wing-back.

Wolves make five changes from the team which lost 2-1 at Reading at the weekend, bringing in Danny Batth, Matt Doherty, Jack Price, Andreas Weimann and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson for Mike Williamson, who is suspended, Dominic Iorfa, Conor Coady, Helder Costa and Nouha Dicko.

Town: Bialkowski, Emmanuel, Chambers (c), Berra, Smith, Knudsen, Skuse, Diagouraga, Ward, Lawrence, McGoldrick. Subs: Gerken, Pitman, Spence, Bru, Sears, Moore, Kenlock.

Wolves: Ikeme, Doherty, Edwards, Batth (c), Saville, Price, Bodvarsson, Saiss, Hause, Weimann, Marshall. Subs: Lonergan, Stearman, Dicko, Coady, Costa, Iorfa, Cavaleiro. Referee: Darren Deadman (Cambridgeshire).

Would like to have seen Pitman start and Lawrence replace Skuse. Apart from that it looks ok. 3 points please lads.

Obviously Lambert isn't overly happy with his players !!! His subs bench is unreal! Talk about leaving your big guns out!!

Should be a straight forward three points.

Pitman to start KiwiBlue2? Really...? Wolves have lost 5 on the spin, so all the pressure on them and very little on us. Surely we can win tonight? Harsh on Spence as I think he has played well and offers us more going forward than Josh.

Anybody that want to support this muddled club need to stay away and force the faceless owner out.
Mick has done his best with mediocre and below championship level players but now he has no clue what to do. He'll be gone this summer but more worrying I feel the clueless owner will take us further in the mire!
Don't kid yourselves for those considering investing in a season ticket next season as the faceless owner has no interest in developing this club!
