Town's reserves will have to wait until Wednesday to claim their FA Premier Reserve League (South) title after drawing 0-0 with Spurs at Stevenage this evening. The Blues face Derby at Portman Road on Wednesday night (KO 7pm).

Town's best first half opportunity fell to Ian Westlake just before the break. However, his effort was saved by Lars Hirschfeld in the Spurs goal.

Earlier Wayne Brown had managed to head over his own goal from a Matt Etherington cross.

The Blues started the second half on fire and on 52 minutes Richard Naylor hit the post. Within a minute Darren Ambrose had joined him in striking the woodwork, his header coming off the crossbar.

For Spurs new signing Jamie Redknapp came close with an early effort and a second half freekick, but the game ended goalless.

Town side: Salmon, Artun, Snowdon, Nicholls, J Miller, Brown (Beevers, 64), Ambrose, Bloomfield, Naylor, Couñago (Richards, 72), Westlake. Unused subs: Logan, Price and Robinson.
