Bru's Mauritius Out to Turn Around First Leg Deficit Tuesday, 28th Mar 2017 10:21 Blues midfielder Kevin Bru and Mauritius face Comoros in the second leg of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round qualifier at home this afternoon looking to turn around a two-goal deficit from the first game. Bru, 28, skippered Les Dodos for the first time in Friday’s match in Mitsamiouli in which they were reduced to 10 men after only 12 minutes when defender Emmanuel Vincent was red-carded for an elbow. Mauritius held out for 69 minutes before eventually falling to a 2-0 defeat. The winners of the tie will go through to qualifying Group B along with Cameroon, Morocco and Malawi. The finals will be held in January and February 2019. Paris-born Bru, whose elder brother Jonathan is the side’s regular captain, has won eight caps for the nation he qualifies for via his parents having previously represented France at U19 level.
