Town have confirmed a friendly against Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium on Saturday 22nd July (KO 3pm).

The League One Gills are managed by Ipswich-born Adrian Pennock, while ex-Blues midfielder Lee Martin is among their playing staff.

Town were last at Gillingham in the summer of 2014 when goals from Alex Henshall and Luke Hyam saw them to a 2-0 win.

I hadn't realised Lee Martin was at Gillingham now... would it be an understatement to say it didn't quite work out for him here, did it?

Lee Martin another of the Dark Lords expensive signings, including Priskin who have gone down the ranks fairly quickly, and probably another reason why Marcus Evans is so careful with his money nowadays too many failures from previous 2 managers

Priskin is playing European and international football on a fairly regular basis, including scoring the goal that sent Hungary to the euros last summer. Compared to still being at a declining mid table championship club I'm not sure I'd call that going down the ranks quickly. That said he was sh1te for us
