Charlton Sold Out
Charlton Sold Out
Monday, 17th Apr 2000 13:57

Town have completely sold out their allocation for the final away game of the seaown at Charlton and they are well on the way to doing the same for the QPR game on Saturday. The final few restricted view seats for the game at the Valley went this morning for what could be a promotion party for either or both sides.

Town are now guaranteed at least a play-off place after Norwich beat Wolves at the weekend (cheers lads). Of course we'd all rather avoid the experiences of the last few years and so second place is where it is at for this year with any luck.

John McGreal may be out for the season after he injured his ankle ligaments during Saturday's game. He was replaced after fourteen minutes by Fabian Wilnis who himself was substituted with a recurrence of his hamstring injury. Mark Venus missd the game with his ankle problem and so Town may recall Manu Thetis for the QPR game. Marcus Stewart was once again left out at the last minute, this time apparently with back spasms. His third sudden withdrawal from a Town squad has led to gossip that Town may not be giving the full story with regard to Stewart's injuries.

Auto Windscreen's Final controversy man and old friend of ITFC Kevin Lynch will referee Town's last game of the season against Walsall. Lynch is the man who gave Town a penalty in a derby at Carrow Road a few years back before changing his mind. He also made gestures at the Town fans at Stockport last season. Let's hope he doesn't do too much damage on May 7th.
