Coach Tony Mowbray says Town will aim to play football the right way as they seek to climb out of Division One at the first attempt. Mowbray has been in charge of pre-season training at the Royal Hospital School, Holbrook this week while George Burley has been on holiday.

The former Boro legend says he was impressed at the way good football saw
sides progress during this summer's World Cup: "I was glad to see Brazil winning it, playing the game the way I want to see it played.

"World Cups can affect the whole of football and it will be interesting to see the reaction in this country to Brazil's win."

Mowbray says Town too want to play the right way and have the players to do just that: "First and foremost we want to win game next season but we have the personnel to play an attack-minded game, passing the ball with a good cutting edge and hopefully scoring penty of goals."

The man known as Mogga says the mood is upbeat and the players have reflected on last season's failings as he has himself. He says that the trick now is to know what direction is the correct one to go in.

On the subject of transfers Mowbray admits that the management do not yet know how their squad will look come early August: "At this precise moment we don't know the squad that will start the new season.

"There are some players training with us who know they might not be here next week, but that's football. It's like that all the time."

The Town coach sees the Blues being more like Manchester City than West Brom as they make their assault on the Nationwide League: "They [West Brom] won promotion with goodness knows how many clean sheets and 1-0 wins, but I see us being more in the Manchester City mould.

"We have a of people who can score goals. I can reel off six centre-forwards for a start."

He is also looking for Tommy Miller to score goals and Matt Holland to get back to his goalscoring form of a couple of seasons ago when he scored 14 times.

He is also hoping that Darrens Bent and Ambrose make their mark, but warned that too much should not be expected of the youngsters. He also wants to see Pablo Couñago show the good form evident in training during matches.
