Keeper Wright Joins Chelmsford on Loan
Friday, 22nd Mar 2019 15:18

Blues keeper Harry Wright has joined Vanarama National League South side Chelmsford City on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, the son of former keeper Richard, is yet to make a first-team appearance for Town but was on the bench for the first time at Bristol City earlier this month.

The Blues are able to recall Wright from the spell if he is required during the remaining weeks of the season.

Wright, who recently signed a new Blues contract which runs to the summer of 2021 with the club having an option for a further season, looks set to make his Clarets debut at Truro City on Saturday.

The one-time Manchester City academy schoolboy has previously had spells on loan at Brightlingsea and East Thurrock United.

Sensible coz 1 of Gerks or (gulp) Bart may go in summer. Get him games as likely to be on bench next yr

Let's hope Wright's, Richard the second and not Richard the third. If you get my meaning.

Good Prep for next season, would like to see Bart stay but that's unlikely I think. This lad could well be pushing for number 1 spot, if you are good enough you are old enough. Good luck Wrighty.

Best player on the field at the Braintree friendly. Not the tallest but then neither was Laurie Sivell or Paul Cooper. Good to have him.

We'll need a decent keeper next season. Not sure what we have right now the answer. Going to be tougher than a lot expect

doesn't deserve to be at the club let alone in the first team or have we all forgotten his disgraceful laughter at the people of Manchester being killed?
