Fortuna Blues Organising Interwetten Cup Coach Travel
Monday, 17th Jun 2019 15:05

The Fortuna Blues are organising coach travel from Düsseldorf to the Interwetten Cup pre-season tournament on Sunday 14th July in Meppen in Germany.

Town will face Fortuna Düsseldorf in a 45-minute game in the opening fixture at the competition (KO 2pm), which is being played at the Hansch-Arena, before a game of the same duration between hosts SV Meppen and Dutch club FC Utrecht.

Then the winners of the two half-matches will play one another in a final and the losers will take part in a third-fourth play-off, again both lasting 45 minutes. All matches will be settled by penalties if level.

The Fortuna Blues coaches will leave Bar 95 at the Paul-Janes-Stadion - where Town and Fortuna met in a friendly in 2015 - at 9.45am, arriving in Meppen at 1pm.

Following the matches they will return at around 6pm and arrive back in Düsseldorf at about 9pm.

"To book a ticket, send a registration email to derhildener@derhildener.com with your full name, date of birth and residence. You will then be sent an email with the Fortuna Blues’ bank details in order to pay.

""Reservations will be taken until Friday 21st June while payments must be made before Friday 28th June.

""Admission to the Hansch-Arena will be organised by Fortuna Düsseldorf with stadium tickets handed out by club officials and should be paid for in cash at the car park where the coaches will drop fans off and will wait until the tournament is over. Stadium tickets cost €22 for seats and €10 standing. Coach travel is €35 per seat. "

Town looked into arranging travel packages for the tournament but they have opted not to as it proved not to be viable.

""Tickets for the Interwetten Cup are now available online here. Town supporters are advised to purchase standing tickets in the ExxonMobil grandstand and seating in the KiKxxl grandstand in blocks K and L.""

The Blues are also in action in Germany the previous week, against SC Paderborn 07 at the Cronsbachstadion in Steinhagen on Saturday 6th July, kick-off 3pm.

A list of Town's pre-season fixtures can be found here with the Blues not expected to announce any further first team friendlies.

They come over for a couple of games don't they?
Great if the club would give them free tickets, or to very least lay on Bratwurst with mustard, and decent lager.
