Sensory Pack Bookings Open
Thursday, 18th Jul 2019 10:29

Town have released details of how to obtain sensory packs ahead of the new season.

The club announced in April that the packs, designed to help fans, particularly those with autism, enjoy their experience at Portman Road and at other stadia and events, would be made available for 2019/20.

With the number of packs limited, Town have put in place a priority system for season ticket holders to secure packs for the whole season and a booking system for fans attending games on a match-to-match basis.

To register interest in obtaining a sensory pack, contact the club’s disability liaison officer, Lee Smith by email via lee.smith@itfc.co.uk or by phone on 01473 400 556 giving your full name, date of birth, customer number, address, email address, contact number and your diagnosis.

Additionally state whether you're a season ticket holder wanting to have the pack for the season or a match-by-match fan wishing to obtain a pack for a specific game. Packs are also available for away games.

Meanwhile, Town will also again be offering their Soccer Sight audio description service for partially sighted and blind supporters at Portman Road in 2019/20.""

The service allows visually impaired supporters to listen to full match commentary on all home games from within the stadium, improving their matchday experience.

The Soccer Sight team will be at the club’s annual Open Day on Thursday 25th July to talk about the service and sign individuals up for the season ahead.

Soccer Sight differs from traditional radio commentary by focusing on a real-time description of where the ball and action is on the pitch, describing each moment so the listener can be part of the matchday experience.

Well done ITFC. My son is autistic and anything that helps him is very welcome.
