Holland Fee Agreed!
Holland Fee Agreed!
Wednesday, 21st Aug 2002 13:27

TWTD understands that a fee has been agreed between Town and Villa for skipper Matt Holland. The two clubs have been in talks over the last few days with a fee the main area of discussion, Villa offering £4 million and Town looking at a figure nearer £6 million.

It is likely that the clubs have agreed on a figure somewhere between the two, with the Blues keen to get the entire amount up front.

Even the two clubs agreeing a fee does not mean the deal is a formality. Hermann Hreidarsson turned down his move to West Brom last week and Holland and his family are understood to be very settled in the area.

However, as was the case with his move from Bournemouth to Town, Holland is likely to be aware that Town are in need of money at present.

If the move goes through, the Dean Court club will get 25% of the profit Town have made on the £800,000 they paid in 1997.
