Miller Worry for PNE Game

Tommy Miller is an injury worry ahead of Sunday's game with Preston. The midfielder came off during Thursday's match against Avenie Beggen with a groin strain.

Martijn Reuser is definitely out due to the thigh injury which scuppered his loan move to Charlton.

Wayne Brown and John McGreal both came through Thursday's match with no ill effects and Mark Venus is back in contention.

Preston boss Craig Brown has clearly been impressed with the Blues: "They are a Premiership club playing in the Nationwide League, with big players on big contracts, while Matt Holland turned down a move to Aston Villa to stay at Ipswich so it shows they are ambitious.

"They lost their last game at home, which was a bit of a smash and grab raid by Bradford, and although a quality team doesn't normally lose two on the trot, we intend to make this the case.

"Their front boys are usually particularly dangerous, but we have to compete and think we can beat them if we are going to have any ambition. We have to believe no one is going to come here and take points off us."

Preston are without new signing Eddie Lewis who has not received a work permit. However, Mark Rankine is included along with Ricardo Fuller who has been suffering with a shoulder problem.

Fuller is one of the Preston players who Town boss George Burley has been impressed with: "They are a good experienced team.

"They have class players like Chris Lucketti at the back, Ricardo Fuller on the wing and David Healy up front, and all-round they have a talented squad and a very good, experienced manager."
