Le Pen Hits Out
Le Pen Hits Out

On loan Town winger Ulrich Le Pen has told the French press that he wants to make his move to Strasbourg permanent and has been somewhat scathing in his condemnation about his time at Town.

The Frenchman says he had an unhappy spell at Portman Road after joining from Lorient last November, but rarely got a chance, he says "I almost never played last season as the coach never trusted me.

"We didn't appreciate English life. My wife was pregnant, but could not get the suitable treatment.

"I was the only Frenchman in the squad. We didn't really like much during the year there."

"At Lorient I had everything to be happy, friends and family, but it was difficult to refuse the Premier League. Of course, the financial aspect was a big factor.

"Now we prefer to earn less money but to have a better life."
