Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore says that any talk of a move to Ipswich is behind him and that he wants to get on with his career with the Millers. The ex-Tranmere boss was determined to talk to Town after apparent interest, however, the call from the Blues turned out to be a hoax.

Moore met with his chairman Ken Booth on Monday and was told that the club had turned away an approach from Town, a decision he appears to accept: "We sat down and had a chat about what was said when the chairman of Ipswich asked for permission to speak to me.

"The chairman said there was no way that I was going to be allowed to speak to Ipswich and that really is an end to it.

"I have to accept that. The chairman is the man who gave me a chance in management and I can't force the issue. That's that really. That's just the way it is right now.

"I just have to get on with it. We have put ourselves in a great position this season and when my name is linked with other jobs that's a good thing for the club and what we are doing here, and that means everyone at the club.

"The Ipswich thing is dead and buried now and the whole episode is a passage that I want to put behind me and get on with the job here."

As well as Town, Moore has been linked with the manager's job at Sheffield Wednesday where Terry Yorath and assistant Willie Donachie are under pressure.
