Town striker-cum-defender Richard Naylor was happy with his display at the back against Spurs reserves last night at Portman Road. Town ran out 2-1 winners with goals from Darren Ambrose and Tommy Miller.

The copper-topped man of steel said after the game: "It was the first time I have ever played there but I really enjoyed it. It was a good pair to be matched up against [Les Ferdinand and Sergei Rebrov] and they made it difficult and it was a good test but it went well.

"I had plenty of good players around me, Mark Venus and Wayne Brown, they made it easy for me with plenty of talking from both of them.

"I just want to play and if the Gaffer wants me to play at the back or the front that's what I will do. I have shown I can do both so whichever I have a greater chance of getting in the team I will do."
